Why does marriage matter? Marriage says “we’re family” in a way that no other word does. Marriage is the ultimate expression of commitment and responsibility for the person you love.

Why Marriage Matters Washington is a public education campaign to help spread the word about the importance of the freedom to marry here in Washington by equipping supporters with the tools they need to share their personal story about why marriage matters to them.

We know that we can change hearts and minds through telling our stories.
